Giving back is at the core of what we do

At Mindful money, we believe that generosity is one of the eight pillars of happiness - which is why we give back 100% of our profits. We have returned over $500,000 and counting to our local community.

These are some of our favorite organizations:

Rotacare Bay Area

Rotacare is a volunteer-driven provider of free healthcare for the uninsured in our community. Mindful Money has been a supporter of Rotacare Bay Area's free medication program since its inception.

Insight Housing (Formerly Berkeley Food & Housing Project)

Insight Housing (Formerly Berkeley Food & Housing Project) is a provider of emergency, transitional, and permanent supportive housing as well as re-housing, food and vocational support for homeless communities across northern California. Jonathan has served on their Board and has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for their programs and services.

Berkeley Community Scholars

Berkeley Community Scholars empowers Berkeley youth who face racial, economic, and other barriers to achieving their college dreams by providing a unique blend of scholarships, advising, mentoring and a community of support. Mindful Money supports 4 of BCS's rotating scholarships.

Eso Ventures

ESO Ventures provides Black and Brown communities with confidence, competence, and capital to take their early-stage business ideas to the next level. Mindful Money provided seed capital during ESO's launch and provides financial literacy programs to ESO cohorts.

YWCA Berkeley | Oakland

The YWCA is a global movement working for the empowerment, leadership, and rights of women, young-women, and girls in more than 100 countries. Mindful Money provides financial education opportunities and resources for the Berkeley YWCA.

Shotgun Players

Shotgun Players is a company of artists determined to create bold, relevant, affordable theatre that inspires and challenges audiences and artists alike to re-examine our lives, our community, and the ever-changing world around us. Jonathan loves the theatre's ability to support empathy across the largest divides, and has supported Shotgun for over 2 decades.
